WELCOME

Hi!

I'm Tammy. Thank you so much for stopping by. Life is SO busy, so I appreciate you spending your time here.

I struggle with these bio's. What to say, what to say!

I am married (happily!), I'm a mom of what seems to be half a dozen kids and I love it! I am called to my family (just like all parents!) and I am trying to embrace that calling even when I would rather do my own thing.(Which is more than I would like to admit.)

I sort of stumbled upon blogging a year and a half ago. I find that some days, I wish I never started it. Other days, I am so thankful I did because I reread what I have said and am completely challenged to live up to the standards I have set on my blog. So yes, I fall very short sometimes.

If you love your family (of course you do, duh Tammy :)), stop by the "Create Your Mission/Vision" tab. Catch the vision to have a vision for your family. This is one area where "lack of time" cannot be an excuse. We do what is important to us, so if family is important to you, invest the time to lay a path for them to follow. If you don't have a vision for your family, the world does! YIKES! Discover God's plan while participating in the step by step process I have laid out for you. We have done it! It works! It's awesome!

If you homeschool (you don't have to and my site won't pressure you to), then feel free to visit my homeschool resources. I still have a lot of adding to do, so occasionally check back for more .

Lastly, my love language is flattery, words of affirmation, so comment away :) But be nice. The quote from Bambi sums it up for me..."If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." It will probably ruin my day, so please be gentle with disagreement. :)

Oh, one more thing! I just wrote my first second eBook, but it's the first to release. God put Keeping His Way Pure on my heart early one morning and I knew it needed to be launched before the other one. Journey to Womanhood: A Guide to Her Rite of Passage is going to follow (probably this summer when the kids are out of school and I can focus on it). If you are a mom of boys and girls, these books will make you think and hopefully create a change of direction in your family that will lead your children on a path to purity! (and if you're a mom of something else, let me know, I might need to write a book about that! :))

Oh, and I guess I should tell you that I love to write in fragments and put ...'s at the end everything as well as  mix up 'your' and 'you're'. I don't know why, but I do it ALL the time. SO you have been forewarned....I am sorry ahead of time :) ( I refrained from such grammatical atrocities in my eBooks though :), they are reserved just for my blog.)

Oh yeah, I grew up in Africa and I am a Third Culture Kid turned Adult, so my perspective might be a little different than the average bear. I may start incorporating my TCK experiences and discoveries here in the near future because I have recently discovered just how much that has enriched my life and it's quite interesting to me.

I guess once I start writing about myself I can't stop! It's like eating Pringles! One more thing about me...I promise this is the LAST thing. We just applied for a job in another country. I can't say where because then I would  have to kill block you from being on my blog (can you even do that?) Who knows. BUT I am very excited. Life is about to get very, very interesting for us. Come along for the ride!

I would love for you to sign up for our newsletter so you don't miss tips and thoughts on improving our families.

Blessings to you as you seek His vision for your family,

Tammy ... AKA Turkana on this website :) Go here to see why.
